The Edible Oils & Fats (EOF) Division produces palm oil products and small quantities of palm-based derivatives in the forms of RBD palm stearin and palm fatty acid distillate for consumer and industrial markets. EOF operates five refineries with a total annual processing capacity of 1.7 million tonnes of CPO.
As an integrated operation, the Division enjoys a secure internal supply of raw materials. CPO was purchased and processed into cooking oils, margarine and shortening, the majority of which was sourced from our plantations.
The consumer cooking oils are retailed under Bimoli, Bimoli Spesial, Delima, Amanda and Happy, and the consumer margarine under Amanda, Palmia and Royal Palmia. For the industrial market, cooking oils are supplied directly to Indofood and other food manufacturers, while the margarine and shortening are marketed to confectioneries, bakeries, and food manufacturers under Amanda, Delima, Malinda, Palmia and Simas.
Sales and distribution of EOF products are supported by Indofood's Distribution Group, which has an extensive network across Indonesia. Approximately 83% of EOF products are sold domestically and the rest are exported to countries across Asia, Africa, Middle East, and Australia.
Bimoli continues to be among the leading brands of household cooking oil in Indonesia, having been consistently ranked and recognised through coveted industry awards for top FMCG players each year.
Our R&D team supported the EOF Division by improving the nutritional value of cooking oil and margarine products to suit the dietary needs of Indonesian consumers, and by customising industrial oil and developing consumer margarine formulas with multivitamins for household consumers. We also designed packaging made from environmentally friendlier materials for Indofood.
The Group manufactures three categories of palm oil-based liquid cooking oil, namely (i) branded consumer pack; (ii) branded semi-consumer pack; and (iii) unbranded industrial type.
Branded consumer pack cooking oil is targeted at consumers in retail outlets and is sold in packages of up to five litres. Branded semi-consumer pack cooking oil is sold in containers of 15 litres to 18 litres and is generally targeted at merchants which resell the cooking oil to end-users. Unbranded industrial type cooking oil is sold mainly to PT ISM Group and other industrial users for their manufacturing purposes. With the exception of industrial cooking oil, all products are sold under brand names.
The Group's consumer brands for cooking oil include Bimoli, Bimoli Spesial, Delima and Happy.
